1. Our approach
Cep Defterim does not require an account or sign-in. Records you enter and documents you add are stored in the app's local space on your device. They are not sent to a developer-operated server; the developer cannot access your records remotely.
The app has no cloud synchronization of its own. Operating-system backups and export/sharing actions you initiate may nevertheless move data off your device. These are explained below.
2. Information used in the app
Depending on the features you use and the information you enter, the following may be processed on your device:
- Warranty and product records: Product name, category, brand, model, serial number, shop/seller details and seller contact information; purchase, warranty and return dates; service/repair and warranty-claim history; notes.
- Vehicle records: Vehicle name, brand, model, model year, optional license plate, mileage, maintenance work, service details and costs, inspection/insurance reminder dates, and notes.
- Bills and payments: Record title, category, amount, due date, recurrence preferences, payment status, actual payment amount/date, and notes.
- Added files: Invoice/receipt images, warranty and service documents, product photos and selected PDFs. Depending on their content, these may contain names, addresses or other personal information.
- App preferences: Theme, notification settings, reminder time, snooze state, and the date and record/attachment counts of the last successful manual backup.
This information is used to display and edit records, calculate upcoming dates, summarize expenses, schedule local reminders and, when you choose, back up or restore data.
Cep Defterim does not connect to banks or process payments. It does not request bank accounts, card numbers or banking passwords. Avoid putting unnecessary sensitive information in notes and documents.
3. Device permissions
- Camera: Used only when you take a photo to add a document or image.
- Photo/file selection: Lets you select gallery images, PDFs or a backup for restoration. The app uses selected files; it does not offer a feature that scans all your photos or files.
- Notifications: Used for your chosen local reminders. You can disable them in app settings.
- Device restart information: Used on Android to restore scheduled local reminders after restart.
You can manage camera and notification permissions in device settings. Denying a permission limits its feature, not other record features. The app does not request location, microphone, contacts, SMS or call-log access.
4. Notifications and home-screen widget
Reminders are scheduled locally; no developer-operated remote push service is used. Notifications may show record titles and reminder information. The Android home-screen widget may show upcoming payment details.
Others may see this information on the lock or home screen, depending on your device settings. You can limit notification previews in device settings and remove the widget.
5. Backups, sharing and other apps
Manual backup: Exporting creates a JSON backup of your records and attachments. You choose an app/destination in the device share menu to save or send it. Choosing email, messaging or cloud storage may transfer it to that service, subject to its terms and privacy policy.
The manual backup is not password-encrypted. Anyone receiving it can read the records and attachments. Store backups securely and share only with people you trust.
Android system backup and device transfer: Backup/device-transfer support is enabled. As permitted by your device, Android version and Google backup preferences, local records, documents and settings may enter Google's system backup or transfer to a new device. This does not use a Cep Defterim cloud account. Manage system backups in device backup settings; the developer cannot access them.
Opening documents: A PDF may be passed to a viewer app you choose. That app processes it under its own privacy policy.
The developer does not sell your in-app records or transfer them to third parties for advertising. The user-initiated actions and operating-system services described above have their own data practices.
6. Advertising, analytics and tracking
The current Cep Defterim version has no advertising SDK, usage-analytics SDK or service sending automatic crash reports to the developer. It does not use your advertising ID for advertising or profiling.
This policy covers the mobile app. Any visitor logs or cookies on the website publishing it are subject to that site's separate privacy/cookie disclosures.
7. Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them or clear app data. Archiving a record or marking it complete does not delete it.
- One record: Use its delete action in the app. An attachment may be kept if another record also uses it.
- All local app data: On Android, use Settings → Apps → Cep Defterim → Storage to clear app data. Labels vary by device. Uninstalling normally removes the app's local space.
- Backups and shared copies: Deleting a record or uninstalling does not automatically delete exported files, copies sent to other apps or system backups. Delete these separately from the device/app/service holding them. Restoring a backup may bring old records back.
The app stores a copy of documents you add. Deleting a record does not delete the original in your gallery or file manager.
There is no Cep Defterim account to delete. The developer cannot remotely erase your device records. Check what you want to keep before deleting.
8. Security
Records and document copies are stored in the local area assigned by the operating system. The app has no additional password/biometric lock or app-specific data encryption. Device security and operating-system protections matter; someone with device access can view records in the open app.
Use a screen lock, keep your operating system updated and protect backups. No storage or transmission method guarantees absolute security.
9. Support and privacy requests
If you email us, your address, message and attachments you choose to send are processed by the developer and email service to answer your request. This communication is separate from local app records, which are not automatically attached.
Support correspondence is retained as long as needed to resolve your request and meet any applicable legal retention duties, then deleted. Do not send sensitive documents unrelated to the request. Use the same address to ask about, correct or delete support correspondence.

10. Policy changes
If app features or data practices change, this policy and its update date will be revised. Where needed, the app will provide additional information and obtain permissions before the relevant feature is used.
